Tony Soulié was born in Paris in 1955, where he works and lives. He has been exhibiting since 1977. An artist who is recognized for his new French abstraction, a traveler, a painter, a poet and a photographer, he tried to be "in harmony with our time and space'. Tony Soulié traveled around the world and adapted to suit. "My work is urgent". He combined life and painting. His travels took him to extreme regions: deserts, volcanoes, sea shores but also megalopolis where he got to meet "the limit states of the world". He photographes, paints and sows ephemeral installations which highlight our fragility before strength and the longevity of elements. His mixed works now have photography as their base, on which his brush outlines the bearings of his wanderings. He is as present in public collections like the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris or the Villette, as he is in several corporate collections.
